Smartphone chipmaker MediaTek has unveiled its Helio A25 mobile chipset. The newly launched chipset will power entry-level smartphones. It features ARM Cortex-A53 CPU, which can operate up to 1.8GHz speed.
MediaTek Helio A25 is equipped with IMG Power VR GE8320-class graphics processor. It can support devices with 20:9 aspect ratio and a HD+ (1600 x 720) resolution display smartphone. It features LPDDR3/LPDDR4x memory controller, ensuring device makers can easily meet their design needs.
The chipset features MediaTek CorePilot technology, which is said to enable lower power consumption and offer faster speed. It also offers power-aware scheduling, thermal management, and UX monitoring. MediaTek Helio A25 is equipped with the ultra-efficient TSMC 12nm FinFET production process which the company says boosts battery life, CPU performance, and GPU.
The chip can support up to 13MP+5MP dual-camera system and single cameras up to 16MP with AI-bokeh for portrait pictures. Other features offered by the mobile chipset are low-light performance, multi-frame noise reduction and clear-image zoom technology.
MediaTek Helio A25 is equipped with dual 4G SIM support and VoLTE/ViLTE service capability as well as WorldWide IMS support. It is equipped with MediaTek TAS 2.0 smart antenna technology to provide optimal signal quality at the lowest power use. The chip also offers global multi-GNSS options (GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo) with core-enhancements, ensuring a winning combination of advanced connectivity and location services.
