MediaTek announced it's powering the new Realme X7 Pro smartphone with its Dimensity 1000+ 5G chipset. The octa-core processor delivers the "flagship feeling" for the device, which is on sale from this month in India for just under INR 30,000.
The chip includes four of the latest Arm-Cortex A77 CPUs clocked up to 2.6GHz, plus a 9-core Arm-Mali G77 GPU for super experiences in games, apps and online. The 4.5TOPS MediaTek APU 3.0 (AI processor) accelerates AI-camera actions, and the phone also comes with premium quad-channel LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 storage.
This 7nm chip is also extremely power efficient, ensuring longer battery life, MediaTek said. The Realme X7 Pro comes with a 4,500 mAh battery with 65W fast charging for a full charge in 35 minutes.
Other features include Wi-Fi 6, dual 5G Sim slot and a 64MP primary camera with Sony IMX686 sensor and three other cameras for ultra wide angle, macro and depth sensors. On the front is a 32MP camera.
