Oh, great. With the X1 core inside the next high-end Exynos, it’s sure to be a fire hazard. The 990 can barely run at full load without melting.
I’m excited for the Snapdragon 875, though. But we already knew that it would be using the X1 core, for a few months now.

With 2 year older exynos and larger screen area.
S8 was supposed to score at least 20h more ...

As Samsung has been using 2 performa... moreIts better to stick with 1 x1 core;2x1 core will surely make the chip huge powerfull and in android environment no game or appliaction uae that much power but its always good to have a superfast processor under the hood.Secondly as x1 cores use more power than the a78 so for that using 2x1 will lead to less efficiency but huge power.They need to just keep it 1+3+4 with that they need to upgrade the DSP and the NPU and we will have a decent flagship processor.(Well this are my opinion correct me if i am wrong)

S7 edge with 3600MAH battery had 92 hours endurance rating.
Actually SoC has become more powerful and efficient(performance per watt) but not efficient overall. If it wasn't for fabrication improvement, there wouldn't be much of a change.

But they might just settle for 1 X1 core.
