NEW DELHI: Japanese smartphone maker Sony has launched its latest smartphone -- Xperia 5 II in the US. The smartphone comes with a CinemaWide FHD+ display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. The company has priced the smartphone at $950 and it will be available for pre-order in the US starting September 29. The company has also revealed that it will start shipping the device from December 4, 2020.
Sony Xperia 5 II specifications
The Sony Xperia 5 II comes with a 6.1-inch full HD+ display with 1080x2520 pixel resolution. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and it is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on top. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor paired with Adreno 650 GPU.
The smartphone runs Android 10 and offers hybrid dual SIM functionality. The device packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB by adding a microSD card. Sony Xperia 5 II sports a triple rear camera powered by Zeiss optics. The rear camera consists of a 12MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 12MP f/2.2 aperture 124° ultra wide-angle, 12MP f/2.4 aperture telephoto lens. The front houses an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The handset comes with an IP68 rating which makes the device water resistant. It comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 4000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
