Rumors about the Galaxy Fans Buy the S20 Fan Edition have been going rounds the online community for weeks already after the recent launch of Samsung's flagship phone, the Galaxy Note 20. While the phone is definitely inferior in some aspects, it also has some specs that even go beyond its more expensive counterpart.

The Galaxy S20 FE will have different versions. Primarily, it will be offered with the unpopular Samsung Exynos 990 octacore chip for the 4G version and Snapdragon for the 5G version. The Exynos is slammed for its poor performance and efficiency.

Nonetheless, WinFuture reported that the phone will also be available in Germany and the rest of Europe with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Octacore SoC  for its 5G model. However, it is yet to see whether Samsung will provide the same processor to its entire 5G version or have the lower version, Snapdragon 765.

Samsung received uproar after rumors revealed that the company will be releasing Galaxy S20 models with Exynos in Europe. The same happened with the Galaxy Note 20, leaving consumers is some markets concerned about the performance and heat dissipation.

Aside from their processor, the 4G and 5G models will have huge price difference, although the two versions will be similar in all other specs. Although the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition may not have a thermal cooling solution, it will have 6 GB of RAM, three cameras that are nearly similar to those in Galaxy Note 20.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S20 FE measures 8.4 millimeters thick and only weighs 190 grams. It will have a 6.5-inch 2400×1080 SuperAMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is not offered in the Galaxy Note 20. This makes the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition a great choice at a much lower price.

Galaxy S20 FE Launch: pending announcement

The Fan Edition, also known as FE edition or the "lite" version may be launched soon. While there still no official announcement on when the Galaxy S20 FE will be launched, fans already have a sneak peak of the smartphone during the Galaxy Z Fold 2: Unpacked Part 2. However, the launch is expected by the end of September or start of October.

Hours before the Unpacked event, Ventakesh Babu tweeted screenshots of the phones specs as shown on Geekbench database. The tweet said: "Korean variants of Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition and Galaxy Z Fold 2 with Snapdragon 865 SoC appears on Geekbench database."

This confirmed earlier rumors about the phone's processor, but it is still unknown on whether all 5G versions will have the same.

Meanwhile, the phone will be offered in an extremely wide range of colors, which is unusual for Samsung which only offers the classic blue, black or white. In order to appeal to greater market, the Fan Edition will also be available in lavender, orange, red, and green, although the availability of the color may depend on the version. For instance, the dark "Navy Blue" could be exclusive only for 5G model.

With 4500mAh battery, users can use their phones for a much longer time and it also comes with a quick-charge capability via the USB Type-C port, although Samsung only includes a 15-watt adapter for European versions.
