Micromax in smartphones to launch with MediaTek Helio G85, G35 chipsets - HT Tech

Micromax is scheduled to launch its new ‘in’ series of smartphones on November 3. Micromax is expected to launch two smartphones from its in series. The company has now confirmed the processor details of its upcoming smartphones through a new teaser.

Micromax posted a teaser on Twitter confirming the chipsets for its upcoming phones. The short video shows MediaTek’s Helio G85 and G35 chipsets in a loop. MediaTek’s G85 and G35 chipsets are available in Xiaomi and Realme smartphones such as Realme Narzo 20, Redmi Note 9, Realme C11, Redmi 9 and Poco C3. Micromax would be joining a popular line of smartphones with these chipsets.

Micromax has so far revealed only this bit about its upcoming smartphones. The teaser is in line with a recent report by The Mobile Indian which said that one of the Micromax in phones will run on the Helio G35 chipset. The report also detailed almost all the key specs of the Micromax phones.

According to this report, Micromax in smartphones will come in two variants of 2GB+32GB and 3GB+32GB. One of the smartphones will pack a 5,000mAh battery, and run stock Android. It is also said to feature a 6.5-inch HD+ display.

The 2GB+32GB Micromax in smartphone will sport a dual-camera setup with a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensor. For selfies, this phone will house an 8-megapixel front camera. The 3GB+32GB model will have triple rear cameras featuring a 13-megapixel, 5-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors, and a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

Micromax is expected to price its smartphones between 7,000 and 15,000.
