Vivo spin-off iQOO is set to launch its iQOO 5 smartphone on August 17, a week after the company released its 120W charger that promises to charge a 4000mAh battery in mere 15 minutes. The iQOO 5 series would be the successor to iQOO 3 with support for 120W fast charging support and it would be unveiled in the company's home turf.

The handset maker is expected to introduce several variants and one of them is likely to support 120W fast-charging. Meanwhile, there have been no further details about the upcoming iQOO 5, but it is expected to feature a Full HD+ AMOLED display that is likely to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor.

According to some rumours, the iQOO 5 is expected to arrive with UFS 3.1 storage speeds, and a LPDDR5 RAM. Also expected is an AMOLED display with always-on display feature and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The company had recently announced an exclusive Referral Program for its existing iQOO 3 users in India under which both the referrer and referee get a Flipkart voucher worth Rs 1,000 each. Existing iQOO users can generate their referral link by submitting a request via the iQOO website and get a unique referral link within 24 hours. They can then share the referral link with the referee to purchase the iQOO 3 from the company website. After purchase verification, both referrer and the referee will receive Rs 1,000 Flipkart voucher.
